
What is a Rambler?
i. Plays and acts in the spirit of fair play, within the laws of the game and the policies of Rugby Nova Scotia at all times.
ii. Plays for the love of the game. Measures success by how we play on the field and how we conduct ourselves off it.
iii. Embraces their place as a member of the Rugby family by supporting every individual to enjoy Rugby to the fullest extent of their ability.
iv. Supports and celebrates the success of all members of the Rugby family, never belittling or undermining others regardless of club rivalries or differences in culture, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender or age.
v. Never ridicules, humiliates, or undermines club mates, coaches, match officials or opponents on the field, from the sidelines, in the clubhouse or online, for any reason.
vi. Accepts the referee's decisions and lets their captains and coaches ask any relevant questions.
vii. Plays courageously and to the best of their ability and never with the intent to injure.
viii. Accepts wins and losses with equal grace and humility. Always thanks opponents and referees and makes an effort to share time with them after games.
ix. Accepts and respects the experience, guidance, time and strategies of coaches and trains and plays the systems implemented by coaches to the best of their ability.
x. Recognizes that Rugby is team, contact sport that requires regular attendance at training and games, and communicates when they are unable to attend.
